As per Hutchison tradition, this weekend was Breakfast with the Witches. It's a girls only event, not boys allowed. Grandma Lola even joined us this year, which was a special treat for us. Eden and I had been prepping for this day for weeks. She was VERY excited to dress up as a witch and was very involved when it came to her witch outfit. Luckily, we have an AWESOME Aunt Jody who bought Eden her witch dress. It was perfect.
As we were driving to Gardner Village Eden made sure to clarify that these were "nice" witches we were going to eat with. I assured her they were very silly witches and that she was going to have so much fun...and boy did we!
This may be my favorite family tradition (2 years running) and the witches are so stinking hilarious. What more could you ask for then a delicious breakfast (the pancakes tasted like marshmallows) and show?
Clovi was a little unsure of some of the witches, especially the witch that carried around a real life trianchula (for reals!)
Eden on the other hand, she just wanted to hug and kiss every witch. My daughter has no fear when it comes to being in the spot light. She wanted to get up on stage any chance she could get.
During breakfast one of the witches handed her a rat and told her she needed to come up on stage when they pointed to her. Eden looked at me with the biggest eyes and was SO excited! She could not wait until she got to be a part of the show.
At the end of breakfast they started a conga line and Eden strutted her stuff as she walked across stage...
Oh ya... that's my daughter bustin' a move! The conga line lead outside to where you could take pictures with all of the witches. It was a raining a little bit so we for went the pictures with the witches and just walked around Gardner Village.
The reason I love this day so much is because I think about how awesome a memory this will be for my little girl. Something that her grandma and mama do with just her each year. In a few months it won't be just mama and Eden anymore and I'm thankful that we'll have these special days to look forward to each year!
