Easte Part 3

Natalie came into town to celebrate Easter and to give some much awaited love (and presents) to some very special nieces and nephews.  While she was here we had a belated birthday celebration in her honor...and you know, she live in California...has been on the news...and will soon be on an episode of Clean House, so naturally, she going to be a movie star one day.

For her birthday we decked ourselves out in movie sunglasses with our camera flashes ready...
(que "Paparazzi" sung by Lady Gaga)

Natalie was welcomed into her party with flashing lights, screaming fans and requests for autographs...

She kindly posed for the fans and graced us with her attendance to a cafe rio dinner.  We always want her to be prepared for stardom so we gave her what every aspiring movie star must have...
Needless to say...our best idea ever!  Natalie had no idea what was going on, but once she figured it out...GOLD!

This weekend was MUCH needed by me and I now feel rejuvenated and ready to tackle this last month of school....as for this little lady....is any trip to grandma's anything but AWESOME?!

Easter Part 2

I'm not sure if you know this or not, but I LOVE holidays.  Especially holidays spent at my moms.  She has instilled in me the love to celebrate...and celebrate we did!

We started off the weekend dying some Easter eggs.  Newspaper covered the table awaiting the immanent spills.  Excited faces and impatient hands waited while the dye was made...
Favorite colors were picked and placed just close enough to reach but not close enough to handle...
happy chatter and talks of "The best egg ever!" were discussed in chipmunk voices
memories were happening in the kitchen while moms chatted near by...
and protests of "I do it! I do it!" were yelled across the house...
all resulting in one, not so little baby covered in dye,but oh so proud of herself...
The next morning came full of love for cousins...and love for singing cows...
cookies were made and frosted with care...
while the Famous Money Egg Hunt was just around the corner...
Babies were tucked away safely inside, so the the adults could duke it out for the title of Biggest Money Egg Winner!
then grandma busted out all the stops while babies patiently waited for Easter Christmas to begin!
The day ended as bubbles were blown with as much enthusiasm as little lungs could blow...
Easter Morning came and spirits were high.  Babies were dressed to the nines to head to church to show off new Easter dresses...
When daddy arrived the hunt for the easter basket began...
resulting in one Minnie lovin' little girl getting everything she could ever need!
with a quick change of clothes, the babies headed outside for their not so competitive or deadly Money Egg Hunt...
the day ended on a high...not only from sugar but from lots of memories made and more love than one family knows what to do with!
