The HUNT

This weekend we went up to my mom's for an Easter Egg Hunt.  I was the easter bunny proxy this year.  The kids anxiously waiting inside while I hide the eggs, but before it was time to release the wild animals, a few instructions needed to be given.
Then we made them wait even longer while we TRIED to take some pictures...
Then it was READY, SET....and they were off!!
They had so much fun running around the backyard looking for eggs.  There was screaming and yelling every time someone found an egg.  Eden needed a little bit of coaching on what the proper egg hunting technique was....she thought she should open each egg after she found one.  I had to remind her that we waiting until we found ALL the eggs before we looked inside.  Jaxton had a hard time with this concept too...there was candy to be eaten!
Then after we thought we found all the eggs (key word "thought"), the little munchkins sat down and tried to devour their contents before the mamas had a chance to intervene. Come to find out there were still 4 missing eggs that eventually showed up as the night went on.
Overall, the egg hunt was a big success.  The kids had a blast.  Eden was so excited the Easter bunny came to give her treats.  Later that night, my mom's house was suddenly over taken by bunny rabbits.  All the adults were sitting chatting in the kitchen when we heard the words "HOP! HOP! HOP!"It was hilarious and we couldn't stop laughing.
Man, I love holidays...I love everything about them.  I love being surrounded by my awesome family and I just absolutely LOVE watching Eden enjoy all the fun each holiday brings.
Hoppy Easter this weekend...from my little bunny rabbit!
